Assessment of liver glycogen content in alloxan-induced diabetic rats when treated with EMZSB. Values were presented as mean ± SEM (n = 6), statistics employed was one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s multiple comparison test. $p < 0.01 when compared with normal control; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 when compared with diabetic control. Treatment of diabetic rats with EMZSB 250 mg kg−1 elucidated a significant increment in liver glycogen content as compared to diabetic control rats.
