Serum lipid profile in alloxan-induced diabetic rats when treated with EMZSB for 21 days. Values were presented as mean ± SEM (n = 6), statistics employed was two-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's multiple comparison test. $p < 0.01, and #p < 0.001 when compared with normal control; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, and ***p < 0.001 when compared with diabetic control. Diabetic rats treated with EMZSB 250 mg kg−1 exhibited a significant reduction in serum LDL, cholesterol, and triglyceride, while there is a substantial rise in serum HDL.
