The correlation coefficients of Friedewald’s and the Chen’s LDL-c equations with direct measurement in determining levels of LDL-c from 8 pooled matching studies. The two equations established a positive correlation between the direct method of determining LDL-c [0.95 (95% CI 0.90–0.97)].
