Assessment of cardio-vascular risk indices in alloxan-induced diabetic rats when treated with EMZSB. Values were presented as mean ± SEM (n = 6), statistics employed was two-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's multiple comparison test. $p < 0.05, #p < 0.01 when compared with normal control; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 when compared with diabetic control. Diabetic rats treated with EMZSB 250 mg kg−1 showed a significant decrease in cardiovascular risk indices.
