Assessment of EMZSB on hot plate-induced neuropathic pain in diabetic rats. Values were presented as mean ± SEM of two readings (n = 6), statistics employed was one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test. $p < 0.001 when compared with normal control; *p < 0.05, ns (non-significant) when compared with diabetic control. Diabetic rats treated with EMZSB do not exhibit any significant improvement in the pain sensitivity by licking the foot.
